一枚戒指记录了美丽少女艾瑟尔和英俊男孩泰迪之间真挚而又纯洁的感情，不久之后，泰迪受命要去完成一次飞行任务，临走之际，他将深爱的女人托付给了两人共同的朋友杰克。泰迪的一去不回伤透了艾瑟尔的心，在得知爱人再也无法回到自己的身边后，心碎的她嫁给了杰克。一转眼，五十年过去了，此时的艾瑟尔已经成为了母亲，可是她和女儿玛丽之间的关系却并不融洽。这么多年里，艾瑟尔一直都没有忘记泰迪，但她只是将这强烈的感情深深的埋藏在心底。一个陌生的青年带来了那枚曾经记录着艾瑟尔和泰迪之诺言的戒指，而随着戒指的失而复得，艾瑟尔内心的情感终于爆发了。

1 ) 承诺的意义
整部戏都在讲承诺吧
爱人间的承诺，兄弟间的承诺，陌生人间的承诺
承诺毁了很多东西，但是如那位爱尔兰妇女说，做出承诺还是有意义的，至少让一个人有负担地生活下去，精神上有所寄托，即使实现不了
片子最后，女主人公知道了那段最后的话，整个人放开了，一切变得很轻松，因为不需要再遵守什么承诺了，什么都放下了。

2 ) 爱与自由
电影有两点很打动我，一是爱一个人，可以为他关掉整个世界，因为遇见他，就是天堂本身，有他，就有光辉，就有最好的自己，时光如金，万物美好……二是爱一个人，就是让她自由，无法给予幸福，就给予自由，让她永远鲜活、永远灿烂、永浴爱河，没有悲伤。
50年始终如一的爱一个人，很感人，我能理解那份对永恒的眷念；但是在山顶的痛哭，更让我感动，对执念的放下，那样的自由与轻松，令人强烈共鸣。
爱与自由，从来都是矛盾的。
爱与自由，永远是自由更重要！

4 ) 一只戒指四角恋
本来今天去电影院的原始目的是去看宫崎骏的新作《崖上的ポニョ》的。然而到达电影院的时候不早不晚，为了省时间，就随便选了这部最早开演的片子——进去的时候甚至连片名是什么都没看清楚。
情节可简单概括如下：
三个男人爱上了一个女人。第一个男人和她结婚了，他死了。第二个男人和她结婚了，然后也死了。第三个男人终于和她获得了幸福！
同事问：那么戒指呢？

刚开始的时候很混乱。镜头在现在与60年前的美国及爱尔兰来回切换，大量的出场人物很快就搞得我晕头转向。而因为这些复杂的关系，最后的部分感觉有些冗长拖蹋——否则怎么交代得清楚。导演虽然用抽丝剥茧法将谜题一个一个地逐步解开了，不过还是看得我有些不耐烦起来。特别是连IRA都扯进去了，历史感有是有了，阴谋论却和主线关系不够深。

查克：因为当初答应了朋友的重托，在他死后无怨无悔照顾了泰迪的妻子--也是自己心爱的女人50年，也许这样的友情是真正伟大的。
杰克：虽然当初没有被朋友选中照顾那个也是自己心爱的女人--只能作为朋友帮忙照顾，但在50年后却能与她再次相爱共度余生，也许他是最幸运的那个人
也许生活中爱情不是重要的，交些至真的朋友才是重要的
也许这样的爱是动人的，这样的爱也是残忍的

6 ) 时间,空间的浪费
看的人需要耐心...
转眼间就是50年,不觉得有什么感人的片段，来来去去串联起来的人物关系也有些牵强，总觉得看完之后就让人觉得那样的人生很浪费，还有女主人公的自私，自以为是的爱情，没什么可歌颂的～～
不懂得爱人，也不值得被爱．

我还故意不看简介 就是为了有点悬念 结果看了10分钟我就猜到剧情 还有那个演marie的 您的演技差到死
還有37分28秒的時候我開始掉眼淚了。這種大眾劇情，惡俗的悲劇適合我。多少次類似的都不會膩，我總是有low點。還有MischaBarton 比我想象中演的好。
在伦敦电影节上带着无期待看的一部电影。确实毫无防备地被感动了。情节可能算是老套，有关信念、责任、承诺、友谊、爱情、人生。其实人生并不长，能守住一个承诺就好，直到天昏地暗，直到年老色衰。也许这是我的爱情观吧。愿人与人之间都如此真实。委实是个好片。
现在的人大概不太能理解承诺是种责任了,所以大多数时候承诺都是没什么意义的
一段爱真的可以持续这么多年么
个别情节设计得不错，但整体感不够强，简单的故事显得零碎了
